Microblading

Beautiful and natural looking eyebrows can do so much to enhance your beauty. Microblading is a type of semi-permanent makeup, achieved by inserting pigment into the upper layers of skin to create the desired fullness and shape of the eyebrows. The effects last up to two years (with regular touchups) after which the pigment fades leaving the skin and your natural brows exactly as they were.

Microblading

Microblading is a long-lasting technique to fill in and shape the eyebrows. Your licensed esthetician or practitioner will use microblades to insert pigment into the skin, creating lines that look like realistic eyebrow hairs. The technique allows for great precision, so you can have perfect eyebrows that accentuate your features.

Consultation

You will meet with one of our licensed estheticians or practitioners to discuss your goals for the procedure. They will examine your eyebrows and help you decide on shape and fullness that will flatter your face shape and features.

Consideration

You may be a candidate for microblading if you have:

  • Over-plucked eyebrows
  • Patchy spots in your eyebrows
  • Sparse or thin eyebrows
  • The desire for a long-term solution to brow upkeep

Preparation Before the Procedure

Please avoid ibuprofen, aspirin and alcohol for 48 hours before your procedure. It is also recommended that you avoid using products containing retinoids for one month before the procedure, just on the brows. We also ask that you come to your appointment without brow makeup on.

Procedure

Microblading utilizes a hand tool that holds small disposable micro-blades that insert pigment into the skin, similar to a tattoo. Your licensed esthetician or practitioner will first apply numbing cream to the brow area to ensure comfort during the procedure. Then they will use the microblading tool to draw realistic strokes onto your brows in increase fullness and improve shape.

Recovery

You may experience a little redness after the procedure. There is no downtime after microblading and you may resume your normal activities immediately.

Results

At first, your brows may look a little darker and fuller than you were expecting. This is a normal part of the process and will fade within two weeks, revealing perfectly shaped brows that match the shape of your face. The results of microblading are considered semi-permanent and can last up to two years. However, you may require regular touch-ups and color boosts to keep your brows looking their best.
