Laser Hair Removal
Forever Bare BBL™
Forever Bare BBL from Sciton is a revolutionary technology in hair removal. Traditionally, hair removal devices apply all of their energy to any given area all at once. By sending multiple lower fluency pulses at a high repetition rate, Forever Bare BBL provides a treatment that is safe, fast, efficacious and comfortable. The motion BBL technology allows for extremely even heating of hair follicles and minimizes missed areas that occur with traditional hair removal devices.
Laser hair removal uses an intense, pulsating beam of light to remove unwanted hair. This process damages the hair follicle, preventing it from growing more hair. We use the state-of-the-art Forever Bare BBL by Sciton system which has proven to be safer, quicker and more comfortable than older systems.
Consultation
You will meet with one of our licensed estheticians or practitioners to discuss the procedure of laser hair removal and to talk about your options. They will decide if you are a good candidate for Forever Bare BBL and help you decide on a treatment plan.
Preparation Before Your Procedure
It is important to avoid tanning in the sun or using tanning beds for three weeks prior to treatment. This is because tanned skin contains excess pigment or melanin, which may absorb the BBL light energy that is intended for the hair follicles. The tan must be faded from the skin for at least a week for optimal treatment.
Procedure
During the treatment, you will wear protective eyewear. The procedure is generally gentle, but a topical anesthetic may be applied on sensitive areas. You may feel a warm or snapping sensation as the skin absorbs the light from the laser. The procedure typically takes several minutes to a half an hour to complete, depending on the size of the area to be treated.
Recovery
For most people and most treatment areas, there is virtually no down time after hair removal with BBL. Some patients experience some redness after the procedure, which will fade. Because of phases of the growth cycle of hair, a series of treatments spaced four to eight weeks apart is usually recommended.
Results
Your results will depend on the number of treatments, thickness of hair and skin color. Most patients require five to six treatments. Patients notice a significant reduction in regrown hair and over time hair will no longer grow back.
